A non-official ELF is born^^

Wah~ I just finished my trial listening at Bugs, Melon, Cyworld, and Soribada (OMG finally.. after 6 hours trying) to Bonamana, Super Junior 4th Album title single. Well it’s actually Miinah, but all chart put Bonamana instead of Miinah, so I’m kinda used to this name.

You may wonder why I spent those precious hours to do something precisely just trying to open those websites with my super lousy and slow internet connection. Well, I’m proudly stating here: I am Super Junior Fan. I may not be an official ELF (I’m not Korean) but it doesn’t really matter. As long as I can support and help Super Junior to be the best, I’m satisfied enough. Of course my effort is meaningless compared with those ELF who give all their love, time, and care to the boys. But at least, it’s better than doing nothing right?? As foreign fan, what I can do is limited, but I’m trying to do my best.

It’s weird that I became Super Junior fan only since 2 months ago, but I’ve been so much into them. Super Junior has debuted almost 5 years ago, right? So it’s kinda late for me to be their fans now. Honestly, I wasn’t interested at all with K-Pop. The only Korean group which I knew was TVXQ because I saw them performing once on TV XD It was my friends who were addicted to Super Junior. At first, I thought that they were overacting, as they saved so many photos of their favorite members (like exactly what I’m doing now ><). Don’t blame me; I still haven’t been struck by the charm of these gorgeous boys then.

One night, Super Junior appeared on one show (I forgot what it was, something on MTV) which told their stories from the beginning of their debut till then. My friends who were crazy fan of Super Junior told me the name of each member. Don’t laugh at me; I couldn’t differentiate between Leeteuk and Ryeowook LOL. One of my friends is a fan of Donghae so she kept showing me his photo which helped me to remember him. Then Kibum is the cutest one so I was kinda attracted to him. Siwon is the best looking, Heechul is the “beautiful” one (I saw “U” MV first), and Shindong and Eunhyuk are the rappers & dancers so I remembered them faster. Sungmin, Hangeng, Kangin, Kyuhyun, and Yesung were harder to be recognized and remembered. It took me some time to memorize all their names, and I was like a 7-year-old child who tried to memorize all zodiacs =) The first song I loved was Miracle because they looked so happy and childish there (now I prefer their sexy appearance in 4jib) and Don’t Don. My friend kept telling me that she hated Don’t Don for their colorful hair and dark image but I loved their dance there. Till now, Don’t Don is still the best dance ever (with the hip thrust and everything =p)

Then coming Super Show 2 in Malaysia. I was not really interested at all; only 2 of my friends were going and my favorite, Kibum, didn’t come. The Rockpitt price was quite expensive (my opinion is no rockpitt then not at all). My Donghae-fan friend hesitated because she really wanted to see him but the price is just troublesome... She even had Donghae in her dream XD just before she decided to go. The weirdest part is I was suddenly interested to come to the show. Well, maybe they infected me with Super Junior virus (they kept telling me that it might be the only Super Show in Malaysia for my life time) because at the end, I was the one who kept teasing and influencing my Donghae-fan friend to join the chaos. I succeeded though, and I never regret it =D

Getting the ticket was tough journey. Because the pre-sale had already ended, we had to buy from the official one, which was in Bukit Bintang, about 30 minutes by taxi from my place. Taking taxi would contribute much to our already expensive ticket so we took LRT (the first trial!!!) and fortunately arrived there one hour just before the selling. We anticipated that there would be crowded but indeed, it was okay. Some girls stood there and we stood so close behind them, afraid of being tripped LOL The Sorry-Sorry cover dance by a group of boys was cool but of course never compare them with Super Junior =D

Finally at 12.00 pm, the sale begun!!! We managed to get the ticket for Rockpitt A with discount, RM 390 (my friends who got the normal price ticket (RM 458) from the pre-sale really envied us) and stayed there to watch the rest performance. Some lucky participants got free ticket. A lot of Malaysian ELF there (they all wore blue shirt with some writings indicating ELF) and even they had already screamed so loud-it was just cover dance!! One girl danced to Sorry-Sorry and she was good. We started to become more excited =)

After one month saved in my box, on 20th March 2010, my luxurious Super Show 2 ticket was finally brought out. My friend suggested us going at 2.00 pm (the show started at 7.00pm) because a lot of fans would go there so early. So we took taxi to Bukit Djalil, got lost for awhile, and finally arrived at the stadium.

Shocked.. surprised.. unbelieved.. O.M.G. What the ****!!!! The sea of blue fangirls lied from every entrance to the field for about 10 meters long 0__________________0 some of the girls brought blanket, pillow, floormat, food, drinks, bolster…… they spent the whole night there to be the first .. WOW.. ELF is unbeatable. We were amazed.

Here you can see how we lined up:

Act wisely, we chose to line up behind because some ELF had already showed ready-to-fight face when we stood near the entrance (we were just too confused, OMG). You know, the sunshine was plainly baking us (it might be 37 Celsius and my skin burnt; I still have the spot till now) and I just had one umbrella to cover four of us. Oh my lovely umbrella, I just threw it away when the guard said it wasn’t allowed in. Now I’m kinda regret it T.T We also made one board with our names and a big INDONESIA LOVE SUJU along with all members name (we threw it to the stage at the end, and I thought Yesung saw it, but I might be wrong ><) While waiting, I bought a blue lightstick, got a little white light (all fans lightened it during Shining Star, it was so beautiful) and the schedule of their performance.

We met other Indonesian fans (they deliberately flew to Malaysia only for watching the show!!!) and saw a big group of Singaporean ELF along with some Vietnamese and Korean fans. Most of them were fans of Donghae, Siwon, and Kyuhyun (ok, they’re three god of best looking kekeke~). Kibum wasn’t there, so I was like having no favorite member.

Honestly speaking, during the queuing, I felt so bored and tired till I kept questioning myself why I was there, tortured and exhausted; I wasn’t really their fan after all. As time passed, all fans got emo and easy to fired up. The atmosphere went hot and a little mistake would easily bring the chaos. Moreover, during waiting, there were some riots. IDK whether some members really showed up outside (for me it’s just hoax) but the fans got so excited and kept pushing each other to see their idols. The issue of a girl faint made us panic since we also felt extremely tired, hungry, and thirsty. Every time there were movements inside the building, we would be pushed against each other and the scream could bring you craziness in such a hot weather. Keep yelling other to stop pushing us, my friend even got a fight against one girl who tried to trip our line. The situation was getting worse as 7.00 pm got closer. All fans yelled at the guard to open the gate and kept pushing upward.

And when the GATE OPENED, you can guess what happened: all screamed, pushed, yelled, kicked, and even punched to enter those heaven gates. We had to hold hand each other otherwise we would get separated. So grateful to have one nice girl allowing me to get in front her (the line was messed up and it wasn’t clear who stood behind whom), I guessed she was a Vietnamese ELF^^ Even at the entrance, the guard made it worse by all the check and throw; my drink and umbrella were the victims T.T Passing the guard, we ran through all the way to the best place right just before the stage, next to the straight way connecting the first and second stage (actually, it wasn’t the best position, we regretted it later) because we thought that they would walk there frequently so our chance of seeing and greeting them would be higher. It was indeed really close, we were just below them, not even 1 meter far, so we could see their face very clearly =DDD Again, my friend quarreled with one girl who stole our place when we went out for some troublesome friend’s ticket (they let their ticket with my friend but they came very late, so annoying) so the situation was tense.

As 7.00 pm approached, the fans kept shouting Super Junior because they were seen nowhere. The wide screens teased us a lot by showing the pictures of the boys along with their advertisement and sponsor thingy. Every time the boys were shown, fans would go wild and scream (they did the pretty cool wave action). Later I knew that our screaming could be heard from backstage in Siwon’s interview (Yey!!) The show was delayed for about 1 hour, but fans excitement never stopped. I was so thirsty without any drink for the next three hours so I couldn’t give my best fangirl screaming =( Finally guys, at 8.00 pm the boys appeared……

At first, the screen went dark. Not many of us screaming because we thought that it was just another advertisement session, but then the video of Super Junior came out!!!! OMO we all went wild!!! Literally!! Begun with a cheerful park where everybody looked happy, suddenly those blue shiny balls came down and froze everything. Each blue light transformed into each member which made us did 13 full-volume screams!!! I realized fans screamed most loudly when Kangin, Kibum, and Hangeng appeared in the video (I’m proud of ELF sympathy for them). After all members shown, the screen went dark again. I looked everywhere, every angle and every side to find any member but it was just too dark. Then suddenly each member popped out from nowhere to everywhere!!! I really envied the seated audience since the members popped out just next to them!!! Some members did come out on the stage but it was too dark to see who they were. ELF, you know, was just indescribable. How they screamed, yelled, shouted, I couldn’t explain yet you know it was epic =)

Their first song was not familiar for me so I couldn’t sing along. Some fans near me memorized all the song (I could tell she wasn’t even Korean) and sang along for the next three hours!! I wonder how they could keep their voice; mine was getting used up although I forced myself during Sorry-Sorry, Neurago, and Rokkugo. I just remembered they danced to the first song, U, Don’t Don, Sorry-Sorry, Rokkugo, and Neurago (not in order). The other song I knew was only Miracle XD We never stopped yelling the members name when they were close, but they just walked by, NEVER EVER looked at us. I never blame them though (with that gigantic number of audience, I never expected they would see us) but my friends got disappointed. Fortunately they did Sorry-Sorry on the first stage so we could see them very clearly... OMG they were so gorgeous, so unreal, just like what we usually saw on TV. Because we were so close, their outfit and movement could be observed clearly. My friend realized that Siwon wore green underwear ROFL (I didn’t even see that). The one attracted me was Yesung because he seemed so tired even at the beginning. He walked slowly, wasn’t active like the others, and often bowed down (he did it first near me); I was like “What’s wrong with this boy? Is he bored with the show??” Well, later I knew that he was sick then (very sick indeed) and I regretted to ever think that he didn’t appreciate us =(((

The show continued with the solo of some members. I didn’t really pay attention though I spotted that Yesung’s voice was so nice (now I know that his voice is not nice; it’s heaven). Wookie’s solo got me a bit excited because I know the song Insomnia. When KRY+Sungmin sang What If and spin at the middle of the stage, we kept shouting their name (I’d already memorized their names yay!!) but the only one who looked at our place was Kyu (actually I’m not sure whether he “really” saw us). He looked there two times and we were so excited, talking about it for the rest of the show =D The other songs were performed mostly on the second stage, so we could only see their backs and relay on the big screens to see their face. The worst part was I was too thirsty, hungry, tired, exhausted, and not knowing most of their songs so I couldn’t enjoy the show. Indeed, I was wondering when the show would end (poor me) so after they sang Marry U and announced the end of the show, I was (maybe) the only one felt grateful (please don’t blame me, now I regret that the show was just 3 hours long). When fans shouted Encore, I was like, “oh no, please don’t let me endure this any longer.” Anyway, when they lined up on the second stage (only got their backs, again) and said goodbye, we kept shouting their names (my friend shouted,”HENRY!!!! and I was whispering instead of shouting, “Oppa, saranghaeyo~”). It was sad to think that they might not come here again T.T

Kyu then became my favorite, simply because he was the only one who had something (I can’t say it was real contact) with us in the show (pity us). Well Shindong did shot the water gun toward us XD I gathered his info, enough to know that Kyu was maknae, he was one of the leading singer, and so on. But I never got biased with him. After the show, I became Super Junior fan (kinda weird huh) so I went over all the fancams of their show in Malaysia on Youtube, trying to find any interesting part I missed during the show. Also, I did research on Google about the boys and like every fan does, collect their photos.

That’s how an ELF is born ^^
